Nikolas M. Katsoulakos received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2004. In 2008 he was awarded an MSc in “Environment and Development”, in the NTUA. In 2013 he completed his PhD research in the field of Energy Planning/ Optimisation in the NTUA. Since 2005 he has been working as a self-employed mechanical engineer, mainly in the field of studying/ designing electrical, mechanical and energy systems in the building sector. He is also an accredited Energy Auditor. Moreover, he has been participated as a research associate in eight national and international research programmes and he is a research/ teaching collaborator in the National Technical University of Athens. He has more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and of the Greek Association of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. He speaks fluently English and has basic knowledge in German.
