Georgia Mariakaki studied Psychology at Panteion University in Athens and took her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in Leiden University in the Netherlands. She completed a 4-year training programme in CBT by the Hellenic Society for Behavioural Research. Since 2008 she has worked as a psychotherapist in various settings, such as the Institute for Adult Continuing Education, Ministry of Education, the Alcohol-and Drugs- Detoxification Centre Kompass Direkt / Drogenhilfe in Augsburg, Germany, and the Medical Centre for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy “Verhaltenstherapie Falkenried” in Hamburg, Germany.
