Kostas Adam graduated from the Physics department of the School of Exact Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and is an undergraduate of the Mathematics department of the same School. He received his Research M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from Utrecht University, in the Netherlands, where he worked in the applications of quantum field theory in cold dense matter. He is active in private higher education, teaching Physics and Mathematics to students in Colleges as well as to students of various schools of Exact Sciences and various departments of the Polytechnic School.
Panagiota holds a BSc in Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Media Psychology from Panteion University of Athens. Her second MSc in Clinical Neuroscience was obtained from the Institute of Neurology, University College of London. She gained her clinical experience working with patients suffering from epilepsy and other neurodegenerative disorders (adults and children) at the National Hospital of London (NHNN), providing neurocognitive diagnostic evaluations and rehabilitation services. Since 2008, she is scientific associate of “Hygeia” Hospital, where, apart from testing patients after brain injury and neurological diseases, she provides neuropsychological evaluations for patients pre- and post-DBS surgery. She works in private practice with patients suffering from neurocognitive disorders and offers rehabilitation treatments. She is a member of the SEPS, while holding an active role in clinical research and a variety of scientific publications.
Dr. Ampatzoglou Apostolos
Dr. Apostolos Ampatzoglou is a Guest Researcher at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Groningen, where he carries out research in the area of software engineering. In the period 2013-2016 he was an Assistant Professor at the same department, carrying out research and teaching in software engineering. He holds a BSc on Information Systems (2003), an MSc on Computer Systems (2005) and a PhD in Software Engineering by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012). His current research interests are focused on technical debt, reverse engineering, software maintainability, software quality management, open source software engineering and software design. He has published more than 45 papers in international journals and conferences. He is/was involved in over 10 research and development projects in Information & Communication Technologies with funding from national and international organizations. Finally, he serves as a reviewer in numerous leading journals of the software engineering domain, and as a member of various international conference program committees.
Dr. Anastasopoulos George
Dr. George Anastasopoulos is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of University of Patras and holds a PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of University of Patras. He has teaching experience as scientific and laboratory associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece and in Aircraft Engineering Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Sterea Ellada respectively. He has also teaching experience in private educational institutes and in vocational training centre. He has cooperated with private companies and industry as project manager and as energy expert. He has participated in national and international research projects in the area of monitoring of structural integrity and in the field of energy management and eco-design. He has 27 scientific publications in scientific journals and in national and international conferences and he speaks the English language fluently. He is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE-TCG) and of the Hellenic Society of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers (PSDMH).
Dr. Angouras Vassilis
Vassilis Angouras studied Political Science and Public Administration in the University of Athens and holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Social Science from the University of Edinburgh plus an executive Master in Healthcare Administration from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers of Paris. Since 1995 he has worked in various positions in the private and public healthcare sector in Greece either as a business consultant, either as a business unit manager or as head of hospital. Over the years he has headed four NHS hospitals and now serves as a special advisor to the Minister of Health. Outside the healthcare sector, he has also worked for the Hellenic National Telecommunications and Postal commission. Teaches: Health systems management.
Panagiota Antoniadou was born in 1989 lives in Thessaloniki, has a diploma in Civil Engineering, Master of Science Degree in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been working on research projects regarding buildings’ energy upgrade and sustainability. Main areas of interest and expertise are the building envelope, occupants’ perception and reaction in the build environment. Moreover, she has been focused on energy and environmental profile of the building along with the occupants’ comfort and well-being.
Dr. Apostolopoulou Angelika
Angelika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Social Studies (with a major in Psychology) from the University of Crete and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology (Conversion) from the University of Nottingham. She has completed her Counselling Psychology training (PGDip, MSc, post-MSc) at Roehampton University and is a DPsych (top-up) graduate in Counselling Psychology from City University London. She has worked as a trainee Counselling Psychologist in NHS, as well as various private and public mental health services in London, providing counselling and psychotherapy to people with a range of psychological and interpersonal difficulties. She has also worked at the Institute of Mental and Sexual Health in Athens offering telephone support and one-to-one therapy to men, women and couples with mental health and/ or sexual problems. She is currently in private practice, providing counselling and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and couples, as well as clinical supervision to counselling and psychology students. She is a BPS-chartered and HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol), as well as an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS) and a member of the Panhellenic Psychological Association.
Dr. Apostolouda Vasiliki
Vasiliki Apostolouda holds a Bachelor degree in Linguistics from the School of Philology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master degree in Applied Linguistics from the same department. She currently completed her Ph.D. at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the School of Philology (A.U.Th.; 2018). During her postgraduate studies, she received scholarships from Erasmus Program for studies and research in universities of France.Her research interests lie mainly in the fields of phonology, psycholinguistics and language acquisition. Part of her research activity has been presented in international conferences and workshops. In the past she has worked as a researcher at the Project Education of Foreign and Repatriated Students at the School of Philology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and shehas taught Greek as a Second Language. At present, she is working as a lecturer at the Department of Speech & Language Therapy of Mediterranean College.
Arvanitou Elvira-Maria, PhD c.
Elvira-Maria Arvanitou is PhD candidate in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Groningen (Netherlands). In February 2013, she finished her postgraduate studies in Information Systems at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). She graduated from the Technological Education Institute of Thessaloniki with a degree in Computer Science in September 2011. She has published papers in international conferences and academic journals. Her research interests are focused on reverse engineering, software maintainability, software quality management, open source software engineering and software design.
As a graduate from the School of Computer Science and Telecommunications in the University of Athens, he was awarded a scholarship to complete his Masters Degree in Communication Systems and Signal Processing, in the University of Bristol (with distinction). He worked for three years as a telecommunications engineer and researcher for wireless networks, at ProVision Communications. The context of research involved the enhancement of wireless network technologies regarding video applications, the enhancement of antennas and other technical issues. Role responsibilities also involved the mentoring of postgraduate students for their dissertations in collaboration with the University of Bristol. He holds a patent (shared with Prof. Andrew Nix) titled “Antenna Assembly for a Wireless Communication Device” (WO2012004602), published on 12th January 2012. He has also been awarded a runner up position at NMI (National Microelectronics Institute of UK) as Young Engineer of the Year 2009. Back to Greece, he has been working for the last three years as a software engineer at SeaSoft – Shipping Application, for shipping applications. His interest has also focused on education, teaching students on programming, computer science and telecommunications.
Dr. Barouni Maria
I have specialised in Linguistics and Education Management. I completed my bachelor studies at the University of Crete, at the Department of Philology, specialising in Linguistics. Afterwards, I pursued a master degree in Linguistics at the University of Utrecht. The second year of my MPhil program I visited Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). My interest in Language and Education drove me to my second Master on Education Management at the University of Volos. I specialized in Education Policy and more precisely at the impact of Bologna declaration on tertiary education. I have recently submitted my PhD dissertation in Linguistics at the University of Crete. During my PhD studies, I visited University of Vienna and University of Stuttgart as a researcher, and participated in summer schools in Boston (co organized by Harvard and MIT), in Saint Petersburg (co organized by Univ. of Saint Petersburg and New York University) and in Czech Republic (Egg summer school). I received several scholarships during my BA, Master and PhD thesis (IKY, Merkouri Foundation, Dretakis scholarship a.o.).
Vivian Benetou is an Architect Engineer, a graduate from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2008 she concluded postgraduate studies in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Macedonia with a thesis subject ton “Evaluation and Management methods of Real Estate for Public Enterprises and Entities: The case study of ΕRΤ S.A.” She has collaborated with a large number of Architecture and Construction companies. For a decade, she participated in the design and renovation of large hotel complexes. During her professional career she was appointed as Project Manager for complex constructions such as hotels, restaurants, retail shops, offices and residences across Greece. Today she operates as a freelancer Architect engineer and specializes in creating concept and retail Identities for companies.
Antonis Bozas holds a BSc in Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a master’s degree in Pain Management and Medical Psychology from the Medical School of Ioannina University. He is a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the field of Pediatric Psychology - Psychosomatics. He has been certified in use of psycho-diagnostic tools and has received a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from the First Department of Psychiatry - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is trained in Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy, in Life Long Learning and Primary Healthcare. He was a member of the scientific team in the standardization project of the WAIS-IV scale. He has worked in various contexts such as a psychologist in schools, in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as a scientific associate of the First Department of Psychiatry - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Now he is working in the International Organization for Migration and he is the psychologist of the Center for Talented Youth at Anatolia College (Johns Hopkins University). His research interests are focused on health psychology, positive health psychology, applied psychotherapy and psycho-diagnostics. He is participating in national and international conferences and has published articles in scientific journals. He is a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists and the European Society of Health Psychology.
Dr. Charitou Sophia
Sophia has a bachelor in Preschool Education (University of Athens), an M.A. in Special Education (University of Athens) and a PhD in Adapted Physical Education. She has worked at rehabilitation facilities for children with learning disabilities (intellectual disabilities, autism, dyslexia etc.). She is a research associate at the Laboratory of Adapted Physical Activity/ Developmental and Physical Disabilities. She participates in many research programmes relating to the evaluation of special populations (motor, cognitive and attitudes towards integration) and the evaluation of special education structures. She is an educator of adults and teaches subjects related to special education, motor and cognitive development and performance. She has participated in Greek and international conferences. She has also published research articles in scientific journals. Research interests: cognitive and motor development, screening motor disorders in infants, developmental disabilities (intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, developmental coordination disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, special learning disorders).
Maria Chatziaggelidou is a drama teacher specialized in kids. She graduated from the School of Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts of the A.U.Th., after completing her dissertation, titled "Educational Drama and its contribution in stress management for kids in early childhood. Theoretical and practical Application". She has worked as a drama teacher for kids in various private schools for early education and kids' workshops and has participated and aided in organizing kids' festivals and activities. For the past years, she has been working for the Drama Workshops for kids organized by the National Theatre of Northern Greece.
Dr. Chelioti Eleni
Eleni holds a BA (Hons) in Translation (French into English) and a Concentration in Italian from the University of Ottawa Canada, as well as an MA in Literature and Modernity from the University of Salford, UK. She was awarded her PhD in English, with a focus on contemporary Children’s Literature, by the University of Birmingham, UK. During her academic career she worked mainly as a teacher and a translator. She has taught English, French and Italian to both children and adults, as well as courses in literature and essay writing at a graduate level. She has participated in and presented papers at conferences around the UK. She has written and published several short stories in international literary journals and currently also works as an English tutor.
Charalampos Christoforidis has a degree in International & European Studies from University of Macedonia and an MSc in Accounting & Business from Aston University. He works as Transportation & Distribution Supervisor at Olympic Brewery. He has worked in various higher positions related to Supply Chain Management and Project Management in companies such as Aldi, Kassoudakis Bros, Mediterranean Shipping Company and Baufox. Teaches Operations Management, Project Management and Global Supply Chain Management at Mediterranean College.
Phoebe Christou holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology. Since 2013 she holds a Master in Social Clinical Psychology (MSc) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and was trained in Cognitive Behaviour Approach. She is also trained in Eating Disorders and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the Greek Association of Behavioral Research and Therapy in Thessaloniki. Since October 2017, she is trainee psychotherapist in Systematic Family therapy at Institute of Systemic Thinking and Psychotherapy. She has been working as a psychologist in several mental health institutions, both for adults and children, such as social services, hospitals, mental health centres and psychotherapy/counselling centres. She has also been teaching in many private education institutes. Currently, she is practicing psychotherapy privately and she is teaching psychology relevant courses in Mediterranean College of Thessaloniki. Moreover, she is a speaker at international conferences and seminars, while her main field of research is eating disorders and schemata, post-traumatic stress and coping and cognitive psychotherapy.
Qualified Electrical Engineer of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and DEA of the Paris 6 University. He worked for SAGEM as telecommunications R&D engineer. With his return in Greece he has been involved in the design and support of nationwide information systems. At the same time he is an active instructor, with specialization in Data Networking and Telecommunications. He has worked in the design and implementation of Cisco-based networking infrastructure and he is also a Certified Cisco Academy Instructor.
Alexandra Delipalta holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Cognitive Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is specialized in Cognitive - Behavioural Therapy and in training adult educators. She has worked for several years as a tutor, an adult educator and as a scientific and administrative coordinator. She has organized parents’ groups and she has supervised coordinators of parents’ counselling groups for the Institution of Continuous Education and Lifelong Learning. Since 2008, she works as a psychologist - psychotherapist at private practice. She has made presentations at local and international conferences. Her research and therapeutic interests are in the area of anxiety and depressive disorders, child and adolescent psychopathology, personality disorders, couple therapy and cognitive - behavioural therapy.
Dimitrakopoulou Adamantia, MSc
Adamantia Dimitrakopoulou is a physiotherapist specialized in neurological disorders. She graduated from A.T.E.I of Athens and she continued her studies at Oxford Brookes University in UK so as to take her Master degree in neuro rehabilitation. She has taken part in 2 international conferences, presenting her work about ‘The role of physiotherapy profession in Greece’. Now is working at ‘Physio Power’ private physiotherapy clinic in Athens as well as a freelancer undertaking community visits in neurological patients. Dolianitis Alexandros, PhD c.
Alexandros Dolianitis received his Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 2012. In 2014 he received an MSc in "Planning, Organization and Management of Transport Systems" also from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and in 2016 he received an MSc in Railway Systems Engineering and Integration from the University of Birmingham. Since January 2016 he is a PhD candidate at the Civil Engineering Department of Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
Maria Dronouda studied at the Economics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued her studies with a Master's degree in Informatics and Management (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). She is also a graduate of ASPETE (School of Pedagogical and Technological Education), where she took the basic directions regarding adult education, pedagogy, teaching modern pedagogical methods and experiential teaching methods. Maria expanded her studies with an MSc in Tourism Business Administration (Hellenic Open University), showing strong interest in the tourism sector. During the last 7 years, she works at AA+Partners, specializing in human resources consulting in the tourism sector, and especially in vocational training.
Dr. Efstathiou Marianna
Dr. Marianna Efstathiou is a Mechanical Engineer and she received her Ph.D. from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is a Co-founder of a start-up company that deals with 3d design, reverse engineering and 3d printing services. She has a number of publications in the fields of 3d design and the usage of innovative techniques for the investigation of ancient artifacts.
Dr. Efthimiadis George
George Efthimiadis holds a BSc in Accounting from the Technological Institute of Piraeus, a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Statistics and Modeling from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At present, he is a PhD candidate of the Department of Applied Informatics, University of Macedonia. He has worked for several years as a professor and has worked in various projects as a statistician. He is rapporteur in LAEK’s training programs and has published works in international scientific researches. His research interests are statistical analysis, the statistical quality control, operational research, Markov and semi-Markov processes, time series study.
Dr. Galanis Nikolaos
Nikolaos Galanis has received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in 2011his PhD in Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He was working as a researcher in the Manufacturing Technology Division and CS Laboratory in the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. He has a number of publications in the field of Manufacturing, High speed machining and Hard Machining (ceramic materials).
Margarita Gamaletsou holds a Bachelor degree in Operational Research and Marketing and an MBA degree from Athens University of Economics and Business. She is a CRS Certified Practitioner from the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. Her career started in 1999 and she mostly has held important positions in Corporate Communication. In 2003, she got a position in Greek Water Supply Company as a financial analyst to the Financial Direction department. In 2006 she was a member of the Managing Director’s consulting team and in December 2007 she got promoted as a Corporate Communications Manager, when she got involved with Corporate Responsibility, investment and corporate communication. Today she is Communication and Corporate relations Manager at the Greek Water Supply Company. She has been teaching since 2006 and has extended teaching experience in marketing, communications and corporate social responsibility. Teaches: Marketing Communications.
Theodoros Gantinas holds a BSc in Business Administration with minor in Philosophy from the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), a BSc in Applied Psychology from the University of Derby, an MSc in Management of Innovation and Organizational Change from the University of Brunel and an MSc in Philosophy and History of Science from Kings College, London School of Economics (LSE) and University College London (UCL). During the period 2007-2009 he worked as a logistics manager in the “Makios Logistics” transport company and during 2009-1015 as a project manager in the international research programmes on artificial intelligence EuCogII and EuCogIII. He has taught Philosophy at an undergraduate level. He has done volunteer work in organisations such as “Arsis” and “Doctors of the World” and was external advisor to the private substance rehabilitation center “Pnoi stin Zoi”. Presently he is being trained in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. He has participated in conferences with presentations and posters.
George Gkalaitsis graduated from the department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Shortly after his graduation, he started working at “TECHNHM EPE” at Alexandria Hmathia whose main field of work was industrial refrigeration. After one year, he moved to “DOPPLER AEVE”, at Polykastro Kilkis, where his main field of workwas lift manufacturing. He continued working at DOPPLER for about 10 years at the departments of sales, production and finally RnD. For the past 1 and a half year, he’s been working at the RnD department of “BIOFIAL SA” at Kalochori Thessaloniki. He has attended several seminars and training programmes on sales and technical issues. He has been a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 2003.
Georgoulopoulou – Rentzepis Cleopatra
Mrs. Cleopatra Georgoulopoulou – Rentzepis has a Bachelor Degree from the National University of Athens -Department of Economic Sciences and a Master of Sciences in Finance from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia (Dean’s List). From 1992 to 1999, she served in managerial positions in two International Banking Institutions in the USA, specifically, as Relationship Manager in the Commercial Lending Division of Nations Bank, and as Assistant Vice President in the Financial Strategic Planning & Operations Division and in the Risk Management Division at the Bankcard Company of First National Bank of Chicago. From 1999 to 2016, she held managerial positions in the Retail Banking in Greek and International Banks in Greece. She was also the Fraud Risk Manager, responsible for the implementation of the Antifraud Program in Emporiki Bank / Credit Agricole Bank. She completed successfully the Management Associate Program at NationsBank receiving the “Rookie” Award and becoming certified lender& relationship manager for the Commercial Banking. She has also obtained the Bankcard Certification from ABA, USA and the Certification of Fraud Examiners (CFE) from ACFE, USA. During her college years, she worked as a tutor, and a teacher assistant at Georgia State University, as well as, as a teacher at the Greek School of the Hellenic -American Community in Atlanta. During her career, she designed, prepared and executed educational programs in the Organizations she worked for. She speaks English and Greek fluently and she has a working knowledge of French. She has been very active in volunteering and she has served as a President and a BoD member in associations in the USA and Greece. As a member of ACFE, she has been the Ambassador for “Education”. Finally, she has also been a member of the International Transparency - Hellas.
Dr. Giannouli Vaitsa
Vaitsa Giannouli holds a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has received a PhD in Neuroscience from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her clinical and research interests focus οn the application of neuropsychological methods and advanced neuroimaging techniques for both structural and functional evaluation of the brain-behavior relationship in neurological and psychiatric diseases. She has worked for several years as a tutor and an adult educator. She has published articles in academic and scientific journals and has made presentations at international conferences. Her research interests are in the area of cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, health psychology and quantitative/qualitative methods of research.
Andreas holds a degree in Philosophy and Education specialised in Education and a Master in School Education specialised in Special Education from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has worked as a SEN language teacher in centers for special education, in special schools and integration classes of the Ministry of Education. At the same time, he worked as an instructor at Prefectural Committee for Adult Training of Thessaloniki and at public Vocational Training Institutes, teaching courses related to special education. He was a member of a scientific group for psychosocial support of immigrants and repatriated students and for training teachers in research projects of the sector of Pedagogy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and National Confederation of People with Disabilities. His research actions and publications focus on special education and specific adjustments on the teaching methodology for effective teaching support and social integration of children with special educational needs and disabilities in school and society.
Goudosis Thanasis, PhD c.
Thanasis Goudosis has a degree on Mathematics from the University of the Aegean (1998), Master In Science in Information Security from the Information Security Group, Royal Holloway and Bedford new College, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON, Egham, London (United Kingdom) (1999) and since 2015 he is a Candidate PhD student of Piraeus University, School of Information Technology and Communications, Department of Digital Systems. He has worked in the private sector as Information Security Consultant and various IT positions in public sector. He has participated in a number of European projects and has publications in conferences and journals. Areas of particular research interest are the public key encryption and the information security in basic infrastructures.
Dr. Gougousi Magdalene
Magdalene Gougoussi holds a BSc and a PhD in Psychology (University of Sunderland, UK in cooperation with the University of Crete, Greece). The main body of her work concerns the integration of quantitative and qualitative methodologies in health psychology and consumer behaviour. She has been teaching research methods and statistics and supervising projects for more than 10 years. She is currently teaching at Mediterranean College (in cooperation with Derby University). Her areas of interest include the integration of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, work psychology and consumer behaviour. Last but not least, Magdalene Gougousi is a certified Adults’ Trainers, trained in The Principles of Adults’ Education, in Vocational Education and Training, in Designing and organization and design of teaching to adults and minors and in School and EducationalPsychology.
Dr. Goultidis Theodoros
Born in Kilkis in 1975. He graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2001. He has completed his training in Orthopaedics in Papageorgiou General Hospital of Thessaloniki in 2011 when he also won a sponsorship from the Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma (HAOST). During his training in Orthopaedics he conducted his PhD in Medicine (2012). In 2013 he moved in the UK in order to subspecialise in Paediatric Orthopaedics. Multiple fellowships starting from Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London followed by Birmingham Childrens’ Hospital (BCH), Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) and University Hospital of Wales (UHW) in Cardiff allowed him to gain a lot of experience. He also worked as an NHS consultant in Paediatric orthopaedics over the last couple of years. Teaching experience in Nursing School/Physiotherapy/Paramedics (IEK) in Greece along with lectures to NHS middle grade doctors in the UK helped him develop his teaching skills. Dr. Iatrou George P.
Dr. George Iatrou holds a bachelor degree in Philosophy, Education and Psychology and a master in Mental Health. He is a Phd candidate at the School of Medicine, University of Thessaly. He is specialized in family therapy and in counseling psychology.He works especially with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and as a counselor for children and families. During the past 3 years he is a certified counselor in good enough parenting and attachment parenting and he coordinates seminars for parents. He has published articles in academic and scientific journals and has made presentations at international conferences. His research interests are in empathy, compassion and mental health care.
Dr. Ilioudi Mata
Dr. Mata Ilioudi graduated in 2004 from the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus. She continued her postgraduate studies at the Department of Informatics at the Economic University of Athens, where in 2005 she received her Master of Science in Information Systems. She holds a PhD from the University of Peloponnese and has published papers in the field of IT, and especially of Health Informatics. At the same time, she has contributed to scientific journals as a reviewer. Her presence in the field of education began in 2005, and, among other things, she has taught in the School of Programmers of the Greek Army and Vocational Training Institutes. She is also an external collaborator of the Laboratory of Applied Digital Health Economics and Health (DigiTHEA Lab) Department of Economics, University of Peloponnese. In addition, she has worked as an Analyst and Project Manager for the monitoring and implementation of all the development phases in IT projects in both the public and the private sector. Her research activity is mainly focused on electronic health, and system for health quality improvement, applications, and information systems in health care organizations.
Kalaitzi Christina, PhD c.
Christina is a social science researcher and a preschool educator. She graduated from the Department of Early Childhood Education, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2006, while completing a wide range of seminars on early childhood studies, aesthetic education, children’s literature and placements in early childhood education establishments in Thessaloniki. She completed her postgraduate studies in English and American Children's Literature, University of Reading UK, in 2007 and in Creative Writing, University of Western Macedonia Florina, in 2012. She is conducting a PhD research in Social Literacy and Creative Writing in Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, exploring renovations in creative approaches to the curriculum. She has conducted research and published widely in the areas of children’s literature in education, social literacy and creative writing-based teaching approaches, and research methodology. She has worked in the private sector as a kindergarten teacher. She teaches in the Aristotle University’s MA on Creative Writing in Education and as a substitute professor in the undergraduate programme of the Department of Primary Education AUTH. Over the last five years, she also teaches in AUTH’s lifelong learning programme and she conducts children's literature, short story fiction and creative writing seminars at private and non-government organizations of Athens and Thessaloniki. She has worked in the Youth Foundation and Lifelong Learning Centre (INEDIVIM) as an instructor of creative writing. She has published children's literature and flash fiction in literary magazines and occupies with experimental short film animation. Since August 2016 she is a Programme Leader at the School of Education for at Mediterranean College Thessaloniki.
Dr. Kalapouti Kleoniki
Kleoniki Kalapouti holds a bachelor degree in Economics (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki- AUTh) and a master degree in Management and Economy with a direction to International and European Economics (AUTh). Additionally, she has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Organization focused in Innovation Economics and Regional Growth (AUTh). She has presented her published papers in many international scientific conferences on Operational Research, on Financial Crisis, Geopolitical Developments and Entrepreneurial Opportunities, on Technological Knowledge Transfer, etc. She is an experienced Economics and Management tutor working in various private educational institutes teaching both at undergraduated and postgraduated students. Dr. Kaliakatsos-Papakostas Maximos
Maximos Kaliakatsos-Papakostas is teaching at the Mediterranean College and at the Department of Audio Visual Arts of the Ionian University, while he is an Academic Advisor at the Hellenic Open University. He is also a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Music Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), having obtained a personal research grant from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and a Research Associate at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing of Athena Research and Innovation Center (ILSP/ATHENA RIC). He has obtained teaching experience at the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras, at the Department of Music Studies of AUTH and at the Department of Audio Visual Arts of the Ionian University. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on the Concept Invent Theory (COINVENT) project (2013-2016) at the Department of Music studies of the AUTH. He holds a PhD from the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras since 2014 where he graduated in 2006 and received his M. Sc. Diploma in Computational Intelligence since 2009. He has also entrepreneurial experience as a startup founder and collaborator in international startups.
Kalogiannis Grigorios PhD c.
Kalogiannis Grigorios born in Larissa on 1978. He received his Diploma Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and holds a Master’s Degree in Advanced Computer Systems and Communications of the same School. From 2013 he is a PhD Candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and researcher in the Computer Systems Architecture Laboratory (CSAL) with research interests on embedded systems architectures and brain-computer interfaces. In addition from 2010 till now, we works as Laboratory Associate in the Technological Institute of Thessaly. In the past years he has been Research Associate of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) and of the Center of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). In 2017, he was accepted as a Grand internship (HiPeac Grant – 6 mo), for his research proposal in Arm Holdings, UK. His current and past teaching activity comprises the deliverance of a wide range of teaching modules such as Theory of Electronics Devices, Programming Principles, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Structural Programming. He is member of Technical Chamber of Greece, member of ACM, IET and IEEE.
Ioannis Kampitis has studied Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), specialised in Transportation. In 2010 he was awarded an MSc in Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures from the School of Civil Engineering at National Technical University of Athens. In 2015 he obtained the Counselling and Guidance Certification and he received Certification of the teaching qualification of Trainers for Adults of non-formal education from National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP). In 2016 he was awarded the Certificate of Pedagogical and Teaching Competence. He has worked on geotechnical projects at Temeltas (Istanbul). Since 2008, he has been teaching various technology modules at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (ASPAITE), at Institutes of Vocational Training, Centres for Lifelong Learning, private Schools, NGOs. He has been teaching at Mediterranean College since 2010. He also works as a freelance engineer and has published several articles in international scientific conferences. He is coauthor in a collective volume on Psychopedagogical Approaches on Counselling and Guidance.

In his 10 years of academic-training career , he has been teaching in New York City Community College and Private Educational Institutes in Greece while as a certified adult instructor with more than 3,000 teaching hours he has trained a big number of managers of all levels.
Dr. Karagianni Despoina
Despoina Karagianni holds a BSc in Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and an MSc in Inclusive and Special Education from the University of Edinburgh, UK. She is a PhD candidate in the University of Macedonia at the Department of Educational and Social Policy and her research involves how we can develop leadership skills among children. She has published articles in academic and scientific journals and has made presentations at international conferences. She is specialized in Family Therapy and has worked as a tutor and an adult educator for the Institution of Youth and Lifelong Learning. Since 2013, she is coordinating parents’ counselling groups and has been a tutor in Lifelong Learning Centers and Institutes of Vocational Training. She has worked as a psychologist in the Greek Police, in institutions with students, parents and educators, with disabled people, refugees and psychiatric patients. She has worked as an external partner in programs from the University of Thessaly and University of Macedonia as well as in the Ministry of Education.
Maria Karalazarou is a graduate of the Tourism Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and holds an MBA specializing in Tourism and Hospitality from the English-speaking program of the Technological Educational Institute of Central Macedonia. She speaks 5 languages and has been working in the Porto Palace Hotel & Conference Center for the last 10 years in the sales department specializing in organizing events. Dr. Karali Angeliki
Dr. Angeliki Karali is a Mechanical Engineer, a graduate of the School of Engineering at the University of Patras, Greece. She holds an MSc degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rochester (USA), a Certificate in Business Administration-Marketing from the University of California-Berkeley Extension and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Pennsylvania State University (USA). During her doctoral studies, she taught extensively at the School of Engineering and after her graduation she worked as Assistant Professor of Engineering at the Shenango Campus of PSU. Her research interests included Acoustics & Structural Vibrations and Wave Propagation. From 1997 to 2001 she worked for Cummins, Inc. as a Senior Engineer in Product Development and R&D. Since 2002 she worked as an independent consultant in the areas of Continuing & Vocational Education and Lifelong Learning. She has developed and managed many educational and training programs in Greece and abroad, co-funded by the EU. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
Sofia Karapanou received her Master of Engineering from the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with emphasis on Transportation Planning, has completed the MSc in "Water Resources Science and Technology" and since October 2015 is an ΜΒΑ (Master in Business Administration) student at the Hellenic Open University. Since 2009, she has worked in the field of transport and traffic studies and has also worked as a researcher in Department of Transportation Planning of National Technical University of Athens, in reference with Road Safety. Since 2011 she participated in studies of public works in the field of water resources management, design and environmental implications. At the same time she has worked as a freelance engineer (since 2009) performing studies and engineering projects, regarding buildings’ design, licensing and energy Inspection. Dimitra Karathanasi is a highly qualified Τourism expert. With a Diploma of the famous Hotel Management School “Les Roches”, in Switcherland, she has started her career in London with the Hilton company and returned to Greece in 1995. She worked for more than 12 years for the largest Hotel Chain in Greece, “The Daskalantonakis Group”, at all Sales and Marketing positions of the company and coached a large team of sales personnel, in Greece and abroad as the Executive Director (Commercial). Since 2008 she has her own private company and works as a Hotel Management Consultant. She also has a wider knowledge of the Greek Tourism industry.
Kardala Maria, PhD c.
Maria Kardala graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of the Democritus University of Thrace. She acquired the Master of Science in “Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures” from the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.). She is currently elaborating on a PhD Thesis at the School of Civil Engineering of N.T.U.A. on the field of “Numerical Simulation of Reinforced Concrete Structures with 3-D finite elements”. As a scientific researcher, she has presented papers at conferences on the field of strengthening of reinforced concrete structures through external confining reinforcement with high deformability fiber ropes. At the same time, she works as a freelancer Civil Engineer. She has excellent knowledge of English good knowledge of German and Italian language. She is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (T.E.E.) and the Association of Civil Engineers of Greece (S.P.M.E.).
Mr Stavros Karpouchtsis is a psychologist, graduated from the Department of Psychology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a postgraduate degree “Master of science in Counselling Psychology” from the University of Sheffield. He works as a psychotherapist in private practice while teaching at the Psychology programmes of Mediterranean College (HND & Bachelor). He is trained in the person-centered psychotherapy and in the systemic psychotherapy and counselling. He cooperates with the center of Adlerian Psychology in Thessaloniki and the International center of Systemic Therapy in Heidelberg, Germany. He has numerous participations in International conferences and he has published papers in scientific journals and conferences. His research interests focus on issues which concern the areas of Clinical and Counselling Psychology especially anxiety disorders, marriage counselling and group therapy.
Dr. Karyotis Charalampos
Dr. Charalampos Karyotis received his PhD in Computer Science from Coventry University in 2017. His research contributed in the field of Affective Computing by proposing new emotion representations, and developing novel computational mechanisms and modelling techniques. In 2012, he received his MSc in Signal Processing, and in 2011, his BSc in Informatics and Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests include affect recognition and modelling for computer systems, and the development of affective computing applications to promote student's wellbeing. In addition, he is interested in the development of machine learning and soft computing techniques for incorporating emotion in the design of intelligent computer systems. He is currently working as a data scientist and machine learning engineer for Interactive Coventry Ltd where he is engaged in proposing and implementing intelligent solutions for real-world problems to fit the needs of industrial customers. As part of his role, as a data scientist, he uses data modelling, performs statistical analysis of Big Datasets, develops custom software products and prepares comprehensive presentations to communicate the results of the analysis to key stakeholders.
Pavlos Kastanas graduated from the Physics Department of the School of Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a specialization in Astrophysics, Astronomy and Mechanics. He went on studying Astrophysics at a postgraduate level (MSc) at Queen Mary, University of London where he received the Astrophysics MSc degree with Distinction. During his postgraduate studies his research was focused on the discovery or Earth-like exoplanets. He has taught science classes to undergraduates and school students in England and in Greece. Since 2012 he has been a member of the staff of Mediterranean College teaching science classes such as Physics, Mathematics and Fluid Mechanics and he has been awarded the "Academic Staff Recognition and Excellence" award.
Thedore Katis has studied Hotel & Tourism Administration to the School of Tourism Professions in Rhodes and he graduated in 2000. The same year, he moved to the United Kingdom where he completed his postgraduate studies on International Hotel Management to the University of Surrey. He was employed to the Athens Metropolitan Hotel and the Astir Palace Vouliagmeni as part of his work placement, where he held positions in restaurants, events management, bar, reception, pricing and reservations. In October 2003 he took over the position of Staff Leader at the Sponsors Hospitality Center during the Olympic Games. The Sponsors Hospitality Center was a facility purposed to accommodate the company representatives of the sponsors of the Olympic Games. In November 2004, he joined Yes!Hotels & Restaurants. He first joined Yes!Hotels & Restaurants at the reception and reservations department and then joined the Sales & Marketing Department as a Sales Executive. Since 2008, he holds the position of Sales Manager and he has participated to the opening of 5 hotel units in 10 years.
Dr. Katsarou Dimitra
Dimitra studied Classics in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Psychology from the University of Thessaly, a Master of Education in Adult Education from the Hellenic Open University and a Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of Nicosia. She is Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education of University of Thessaly and specialist in Down Syndrome. She is accredited lecturer in Adult Education and in College Education. She has worked in public schools in special education and has developed her own material in language development in children with intellectual disabilities. She has participated in several research programmes funded by the University of Thessaly, the National Technological University of Athens and the Information Society. At the time she is working on her post doctoral research cofounded by six universities of the European Union. She speaks four languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish) and the Greek sign language. She can also read and write in the Braille system. Besides her scientific publications and presentations in conferences, she has written and published eleven children’s books and three theater plays. She is an associate lecturer at the University of Thessaly, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Hellenic Open University. Her research interests include intellectual disabilities, neurolinguistics, cognitive functions, autism, adult education, language development and genetic syndromes.
Dr. Katsigiannis Christos
Dr. Christos Katsigiannis was born in Halkida, Evoia in 1981. After the completion of primary and secondary education, he studied at the University of Patras, Computer Engineering and Informatics Department, gaining his diploma in 2004. Afterwards, he continued as a PhD candidate at the National Technical University of Athens, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, being announced Doctor in 2010. While pursuing his Doctorate, he cooperated with the Research Institutions of NTUA (Institute of Communication and Computer Systems), being technical manager and software engineer in several EU funded research projects. Concurrently, he served as a teaching assistant for the modules of the director of the Intelligent Communications and Broadband Networks Laboratory. Now, he is working as a software and network engineer in the private sector, focusing on the design and implementation of high availability systems.
Dr. Katsoulakos Nikolas
Nikolas M. Katsoulakos received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2004. In 2008 he was awarded an MSc in “Environment and Development”, in the NTUA. In 2013 he completed his PhD research in the field of Energy Planning/ Optimisation in the NTUA. Since 2005 he has been working as a self-employed mechanical engineer, mainly in the field of studying/ designing electrical, mechanical and energy systems in the building sector. He is also an accredited Energy Auditor. Moreover, he has been participated as a research associate in eight national and international research programmes and he is a research/ teaching collaborator in the National Technical University of Athens. He has more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and of the Greek Association of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. He speaks fluently English and has basic knowledge in German.
Kazouli Natalia, PhD c.
Natalia Kazouli holds a Bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education and an MA in Applications of Psychology in Education in the field of Alternative Psycho-pedagogical Approaches from the University of Crete, with a one-year scholarship. She has worked as an educational coordinator and associate at private educational centres and at settings specialised in constructing and applying educational programmes for children and adolescents. Through her collaboration with Non-Governmental Organizations she holds the position of training manager at Colour Youth and the position of Sex Education specialist at Rainbow School. She demonstrates strong academic and scholarly activity through conference presentations, academic publications and independent qualitative inquiries. Her research interests focus on qualitative and art-based research methods regarding psycho-pedagogical issues and Sex Education.
Vasilis Kesalidis holds a B.Sc. in Physics, specialized in Theoretical Physics, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His postgraduate studies include a M.A.St. in Mathematics from University of Cambridge, under a fellowship of Trinity College, as well as a Research M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, working on applications of quantum field theory in cosmology. Since 2010 he is occupied in the field of secondary education public schools as a science teacher (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics), including the preparation of university candidates.
Eleni Kilipiri is specialized in Management & Marketing fields with teaching experience on relevant subjects such as Business Administration, Marketing, Market Research, International Management and Marketing. She holds a bachelor degree from the Department of Business Administration and Management of the University of Macedonia as well as a master degree in MSc Business Administration - International Management of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). She has working and teaching experience in digital marketing with main focus on offline and online marketing strategies, data analysis and Google Analytics, digital advertising and competition analysis.
Dr. Kitonakis Nikolaos
Dr. Nikolaos Kitonakis holds a Bachelor in Political Sciences and Public Administration from the University of Athens, an M.A. (Excellent) in International & European Studies from the University of Athens, an MBA from Athens University of Economics and Business and a PhD in Investment and Economics from the University of Athens. He has extended teaching experience, professional experience in private companies and public organizations and he has also participated in a variety of research projects.
Georgia Kiziridou is a Developmental – School Psychologist, MSc, from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2007, she is the owner of a multi-disciplinary centre of Speech, Learning and Behavioral Disorders. Also, she is lecturer at Mediterranean College of Thessaloniki and her main academic interests are Learning Difficulties, Assessment and Prevention – Health Promotion at schools. Since 2009, she is the co-founder of the company “Play-learning”. The aim of the company is the creation and the e-commerce of special educational tools for students with speech and learning difficulties. She is the creator of the psycho-educational game “Let’ s play with Emotions”. Also, she is a qualified adult instructor from the Ministry of Education. She took part as a trainer in many adult educational projects (blended, e-learning, live projects) in a variety of fields, such as Family-Systemic Therapy, Gender and Equality, Personal Development, Conflict Management. Moreover, she had been working as school psychologist in public schools since 2012 through innovative actions supervised by the University of Thessaly (e.g. Psychological Support of Immigrant Students) and Ministry of Education (e.g. Member of the Interdisciplinary group as school psychologist for diagnosis, assessment and support for students with difficulties). Last but not least, her voluntary work has to do with Business Mentoring through the corporation of Alexandrion Technological Institute of Thessaloniki and the leadership of multicultural voluntary projects through the collaboration with the NGO ELIX. Demetrios holds a BA and an MA in Sociology from the University of Essex. His research interests are in the area of organizational theory, consumer behaviour, labour relations, industrial conflict, culture, leadership and education. He has written a book on organizational theory and personnel management and is currently writing books on consumer behaviour and sociology. Demetrios Kongas is the Programme Leader of Undergraduate Programmes in the School of Business at Mediterranean College, Athens, Greece, and responsible for teaching the modules Developing Personal Leadership, Understanding People in Organisations, Ethics and Social Responsibility, Consumer Bahaviour and International Entrepreneurship. He is also teaching Quality, Leadership and Management in the MA Education Leadership and Management programme.

Efstratios Kourtzanidis is a senior software engineer and an experienced programming tutor. He received his Master of Science (Msc.) from the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia (UoM) in Greece. He also holds a Bachelor in Automation Engineering from the Technological Educational Institution of Thessaloniki. He is a Microsoft Certified Innovative Educator, and also holds a certificate of didactic and pedagogical competence from ASPAITE school of Thessaloniki. He is awarded by Microsoft with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award in Development Technologies in 2018 for his contributions to the tech community. Dr. Koutsoupidou Theano
Theano is the Head of the School of Education at Mediterranean College. Previous to her current post, she had been holding teaching posts at higher education institutions including the University of the Aegean, the University of Athens and the European University Cyprus, colleges, vocational training institutes, secondary schools and early childhood centres. She holds a PhD in Education and a PGCE of ‘Learning and Teaching in Higher Education’, both from the University of Surrey (UK) and a 1st Class Degree of Music Studies from the University of Athens, which was undertaken with scholarship by the State Scholarship Foundation. She is an active researcher involved in independent and collaborative projects. She currently undergoes research on musical play, funded by The Froebel Trust, UK. In 2006 she received the ‘Young Researcher Award' by the European Society of the Cognitive Sciences of Music and in 2012 she was awarded by the Society for Education and Music Psychology Research and the Greek Ministry of Education for her research contribution. She is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), former Editorial Board Member of Arts Education Policy Review and Article Reviewer for major academic journals. Her research interests are in the field of early childhood education, teacher training, creativity and child development. She is certified adult educator by EOPPEP. .
Kyanides Yannis, PhD c.
Yannis is an economist – entrepreneur and a PhD candidate at the University of Macedonia. He graduated from the Department of Business Administration of the University of Macedonia, where he also completed his postgraduate studies, gaining an MBA. He has worked as a consultant in various consultancy agencies (2005-2007), as an analyst at the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (2007-2008) as well as a scientific associate to former MP Vasileios Geranidis (2008-2012). Today he is active in the area of Business Consultancy and Energy. He is the author of a number of articles that have been published on newspapers and magazines.
Kynigopoulou Polina is an Oenologist, she graduated from Oenology and Beverage Technology of T.E.I. Athens. She completed her workshop at ESTATE XATZIMIXALIS, in Atallanti. She worked as an oenologist at ESTATE OLIVIER LEFLAIVE, in France. She trained and then worked at BURGUNDIA OENOLOGIE, an oenological laboratory, in France. She specialized at the winemaking of the red variety Xinomavro at ESTATE AIDARINI, in Goumenissa. She trained about the French cooperage DAMMY, BILLON, REMOND,FRANCOIS FRERE. She founded BURGUNDY BARRELS MAKERS, a French barrel promotion company in Greece. She worked as an oenologist at ESTATE VASILIKON in Cyprus. Now she is working as an oenologist at the quality control of wines at ESTATE TSANTALI and she is organizing wine tastings.
Dr. Lamproukou Markella
Markella has completed her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Regent’s University. She has also completed a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (HUUK) and a Graduate Certificate in Counselling Psychology (City University). Lastly, she has completed an MSc in Applied Psychology (Surrey University) and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (Surrey University). Within these years she has developed an interest in teaching and while in the UK and Greece she has taught different seminars. The last 8 years, she has worked in various research projects and has been counselling clients of various ages within the private and public sector, including schools and hospitals in Greece and the UK. Currently, she works privately providing counselling and supervision and is an active researcher. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and teaches in Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes at Mediterranean College.
Katerina Larentzaki has studied in the School of Philosophy, Education and Psychology at the University of Athens with a specialization in Psychology and in the School of Educational Guidance and Special Needs, Victoria University of Manchester, where she acquired her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology (M.Ed.). Since 2011 she has been working as a Philologist of Special Needs in Secondary Education. Since 1997, she has also been a Research Fellow in the Senior School of Pedagogic & Technological Education (ASPAITE) of Athens in the field of psycho-pedagogical training of teachers and undergraduate students and an Adjunct Teacher of Educational Psychology in Hellenic American University (HAU) in Athens. She has offered training and counseling services in Parents’ Counseling Programs, organized by the Institute of Continuous Adult Education, as well as in secondary teachers’ educational programs, organized by the Pedagogical Institute of Athens.
Elena Lekka is a graduate of the Psychology Department of the Panteion University of Athens, and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology of Education (MSc) from the University of London, UK. She has attended specialised courses in Special Education for Children with Disabilities & Special Educational Needs, with emphasis on practical training and intervention planning and support programmes (2nd Paediatric Clinic of the University of Athens). She has gained clinical experience working with children and adolescents in individual and group settings. She has worked as a psychologist in elementary schools being responsible for the assessment and support of students with special educational needs. She has also participated in research activities focusing on groups of uninsured cancer patients in collaboration with a cancer support NGO. She is a lecturer in the undergraduate programmes of the School of Psychology and the School of Education (HND & Bachelor) at Mediterranean College, where she teaches "Child Protection", "Early Emotional & Social Development", "The Growing Child", "Foundations of Emotional Education".
Dr. Lianos Paris
Paris Lianos is Doctor of Philosophy in International Relations with thesis title: European Strategic culture; the ESDP years” from the University of Leicester, UK. He is also holder of an MBA from Alba Graduate Business School, and he has taken post graduate degrees, MA International Money and Banking, and MSc in International Studies (Security Studies) from the University of Birmingham, UK. His undergraduate degree was in Economics from the American College of Greece, Deree College. He has worked from 2007 in the investment banking sector with Citibank PLC, and as an executive within the highway services sector. Paris has also actively participated in the organisation of the Athens 2011 Special Olympic Games in the International Relations Department. Finally from 2012, he is the co-founder of the tech site www.iwant2.gr. He is the Business School coordinator since 2014. Teaches: International business, Organisational behaviour.
Dr. Louka Penelope
Penelope holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Luton (UK), and a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Social and Health Psychology from the University of Westminster (UK). She has worked for several years as a lecturer at the University of Westminster at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Dr Louka has published an array of articles in academic and scientific journals and has made numerous presentations at international conferences. She is also a Chartered Member / division of health (CPsychol) and an Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society (BPS). At present, Dr. Louka also has a private practice and continues her research in the areas of health psychology, social psychology, research methods and statistical analysis.
Dr. Loupou Eleni
Eleni is a Clinical - Child Psychologist and has obtained her PhD and her MA at the University of Essex, in the field of Psychoanalytic Studies and her BSc in Psychology at the same university. She has been trained in observing and recording the developmental stages that an infant goes through (mother-infant observation Tavistock Clinic) as well as observing and recording the dynamics that develop in the family setting, (University of Essex, Center for Psychoanalytic Studies). Throughout her career she has been employed by private settings specialising in adult, child and adolescent therapeutic intervention. She was also employed by schools (Claydon Highschool) and a school-children’s home (The Ryes School). Additionally, she was employed by North Essex Mental Health Partnership as an assistant child psychotherapist. In Academia, she has served as a Teacher Assistant, where she organised and held seminar groups for undergraduate and postgraduate students (University of Essex). She was also a coordinator of team supporting students with difficulties adapting to the University’s environment (University of Essex). She has presented papers to European and international conferences.
Dr. Malatra Ioanna
Ioanna Malatra is a U.S.-trained Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in the areas of voice disorders and dysphagia. She holds a Master of Science in Speech – Language Pathology, a Master of Philosophy in Speech-Language Pathology and a PhD in Speech-Language Pathology, all from Columbia University, NY, USA. She has extensive clinical and research experience both in Europe and the United States. She has worked in top U.S. medical settings, including New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Ms. Malatra has been involved in several research projects at Columbia University and has worked as a research fellow at Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki Department of Neurology. She has taught several courses at Columbia University and at the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at the Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece in Patra. Ms. Malatra is the Programme Leader of the Speech Pathology and Therapy program at the Mediterranean College.
Mandroukas Athanasios, MSc, PhD c.
Athanasios Mandroukas is a distinct graduate of sports science (BSc) from Charles University in Prague. He also holds a masters degree (MSc) in sports and exercise science from Leeds Beckett University (UK). His Masters dissertation analyses the methodology and reliability of repetitive measurements. During, - and following the completion of - his masters studies, he worked as a part time Physical Education lecturer in secondary education schools. He has worked as a coach in football players of developmental ages and was also in charge of the laboratory based modules, in terms of supporting university students and also assessing third party test results. He has a plethora of publications in internationally credible journals, as well as presentations in international conferences/symposiums. His scientific record has been recognised at an international level, with numerous citations from several other scientists. Since 2015-16 season, he is responsible of the Physical Condition of a premier league, football club in Thessaloniki (Iraklis FC 1908), as well as a football coach in developmental ages.
Dr. Maragkos Nikolaos
Dr. Nikolaos Maragkos is a Civil Engineer graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of Engineering Faculty in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.). He also holds a postgraduate degree "Master of Science in Antiseismic Design of Structures" from the Civil Engineering Department of A.U.Th. and a Doctoral degree (PhD) in Tunnelling from the Geotechnical Engineering Division - Civil Engineering Department of A.U.Th. Dr. Maragkos has published an array of articles in academic and scientific journals and has made numerous presentations at international conferences. He works as a Public and Private Works Designer and he is a member of a Public and Private Works Construction Company. He teaches at the School of Engineering at Mediterranean College since 2011. He was a scientific associate at the Civil Engineering Department of Technological Educational Institute of Serres during the period 2006-2013.
Dr. Markaki Evangelia
Evangelia Markaki is PhD holder on Applied Statistics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Scientific Director of the Company Excellentia International. She works in the private sector in area of Human Resources Management as coordinator for managing recruitment and selection procedures, conduct interviews, planning of human resources, the training and development assessment programs. The last 5 year she realized more than 3,000 interviews with staff and candidates. She has worked in the Greek Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), the regional channel Blue Sky, during the Olympic Games of Athens 2004 Athens in Olympic Broadcasting (AOB), in consulting companies and in VPRC. Since 2008 she works in the field of vocational guidance, career development and career planning. Dr. Markaki has been scientific coordinator in planning and career development organizations providing career guidance services to adolescents, adults and to unemployed people, organizing services of career development and of outplacement services in the labor market. She has over ten years of experience in education. Since 2009 until today She teaches in higher education in the public and private sector. She graduated from the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the University of Athens. In 2007 she graduated from the Master of Human Resource Management program at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She participates presenting scientific work in conferences and congresses in Greece and abroad. She has been speaker in conferences and seminars of private and public institutions. She speaks four foreign languages: French, English, Italian and German. He is a member of European and International Associations of Research, of Human Resources Management and of Data Analysis.
Ioannis Masmanidis has a Bachelor in “Information Technology Engineer” from Α.Τ.Ε.Ι. of Thessaloniki and a Master's Degree in Computer Systems from University of Macedonia. He also attended an ERASMUS Programme for 2 academic seasons at Swedish Polytechnic of Vaasa, Finland. He works as an IT Supporter/ System Administrator for 15 years and has worked with big companies. He is a Certified Autodesk Technician and has worked with large foreign firms both as a partner and Certified Technician. As a tutor he is certified from ASPETE (School of PEdagogical and Technological Education), furthermore, he holds a Certification of Educational Adequacy Adult Trainers from EOPPEP (National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance) and the “Computer Trainer Professional” Certification. He has a teaching experience of 20 years in all levels of education and more than 5000 hours of teaching. Some of his research interests are ΙοΤ, social media marketing, databases, implementation and management of networks as well as, programming mostly using python.
Matsigkos Eleftherios, MSc, SEPT, MDc
Born in Athens in 1988. He graduated from TEI of Athens with 7,25 /10 degree in physiotherapy. He has undertaken internships and voluntary jobs such as Henry Dunant Hospital and Panellinios Athletic Club, as well as paid jobs in physiotherapy clinics and nursing facilities. Moreover, he has worked with several football clubs as well as the National Greek Track and Field team providing first aid care, injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation when needed. At present, he has been working as a Professor for Assistant Physiotherapy, and other healthcare candidates in private colleges in Greece. Moreover he has graduated from Cardiff University’s MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy, enabling him to improve his skills in this field. Recently, he was accepted in the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has taken part in seminars and congresses concerning Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in UK and Greece, mostly specialized in musculoskeletal, neurological and sport physiotherapy pathologies. Finally he had made presentations in congresses and seminars both in UK and Greece.
Dr. Mavropoulos Georgios
Dr. Georgios Mavropoulos has obtained his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing., 1989) and a Doctor in Engineering (Dr.-Ing., 2001) degree in the area of Internal Combustion Engines, from the School of Mechanical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He serves as Senior Research Associate in the Internal Combustion Engines Laboratory of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His research interests focus in the areas of theoretical modeling and experimental techniques related to the Internal Combustion Engine performance, heat transfer, pollutant emissions, exhaust heat recovery and powertrain simulation. He is author of more than 35 research papers published in international journals and conference proceedings with referees. In parallel, he has worked in several manufacturing industries (in R&D Department of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH as local Area Manager for Cooling Technology and Electronics, in CeraMetal se S.A. as product design responsible) for over 18 years. He is a member of several international societies including SAE, ASME, ACS. He has been awarded for his work from professional societies and organizations.
Maznas Petros received his Master in Computer Science (MSc) from the University of Copenhagen (DIKU) following the Software Development profile. His bachelor degree is in Computer Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki following the Information Systems direction of study. His working experience is on Web developer, both Frontend and Backend. He also has good experience in Game Development while as part of a small team he was developing educational games for Edumode. His current occupation is programmer and analyst of computer systems. Apart from his studies in Information Technology, Petros followed the Annual Pedagogical Training Program from the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education in Greece while working to enrich his knowledge and learn methods in the Educational system.
Dr. Mirisidis John
John Mirisidis Ioannis received his Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2001 and his Ph.D. in the field of Coated Tools Wear Cutting Performance in 2006. He has been Scientific Collaborator at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Manufacturing Engineering at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2001-2015) and researcher for the Fraunhofer Project Center for Coatings in Manufacturing, in Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) (2008-2015). Since 2007 he has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Western Macedonia. Additionally, he has been an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2007-2011). Since 2012, he is Assistant Professor in PPC position “Materials Manufacturing Processing for Applications in Energy Systems”. He has published 25 scientific papers in International Journals and more than 40 scientific papers in conference proceedings. Also he has participated in several international research projects. His research interests include CNC programming, material characterization and FEM simulations.
Dr. Mitsiou Maria
Dr Mitsiou Maria is an Adapted Physical Educator who graduated from the Department of the of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS) of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and also Physical Therapist from the Department of Physiotherapy of Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEITH). She completed successfully all of the four Greek sign language courses and is also certified in reading and writing Braille. She authored her 1st M.Sc. Thesis from the postgraduate programme «Physical activity and Quality of Life» from the Developmental Medicine and Special Education Laboratory of the DPESS of AUTh, focusing on Psychomotor Therapy. She was awarded her Ph.D. Thesis from the Sports Medicine Laboratory from the DPESS of AUTh with speciality in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Her 2nd M.Sc. is entitled «Medical Research Methodology» from the Department of Medicine of AUTh. In between her Ph.D. studies she received a training fellowship as the Best PhD student from the Research Committee (AUTH). Currently her Postdoctoral research interests are within technology enhanced learning in Medical Education. She is active in a) higher education focused on topics of Public Health, Social Care, Sport Science and Innovation b) research where she has participated in research programs and is a Research Associate at Sports Medicine Laboratory of Physical Education and Sport Science (DPESS, AUTh), at Developmental Medicine and Special Education Laboratory (DPESS, AUTh), and at AHEPA University General Hospital of Thessaloniki, c) technical education in themes related to paramedics d) consulting where she is driven towards research and business proposals about Medical Innovation, Medical and Sport Tourism for higher education institutions and Businesses e) Supportive Counselling and Medical and Sports Journalism. She is a Volunteer First Aid Instructor and Nurse in Red Cross Department of Thessaloniki since 2009. She has a plethora of publications and presentations in international conferences/symposiums. Dr. Maria Mitsiou is the Programme Leader and Accredited Lecturer of the School of Health Professions “BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy” and MPS “Professional Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy” & “Executive Diploma in Sports Management”
Tatiani Mousoura is a Special Education Teacher, with specialization in learning difficulties and is a PhD Special Education candidate in the Department of Early Childhood Education in the University of Athens (UoA). She holds a Philosophy–Pedagogy−Psychology first class degree from the UoA and two postgraduate diplomas; an MA in Special Education from the UoA and an MA in Psychology of Music from the University of Sheffield, UK. She is certified in the ‘Braille’ writing system from the Education & Remediation Centre for the Blind in Athens and holds a degree in music ‘Harmony’ from the National Conservatory of Athens. Since 2008, she has been working in the fields of Special & Intercultural Education, both in the public and private sector. Tatiani’s research, regarding learning difficulties in highest education system, has been published by ‘Pedio’ publishing company.
Konstantina has a degree in Psychology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a Master’s Degree in Counselling (University of Hull). She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral therapy (IBRT) and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy Foundational Training (The Linehan Institute, Behavioral Tech). She has worked for two N.G.O.s conducting counseling for vulnerable social groups and victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. She is currently working in private practice.
Dr. Mylonas Chrysostomos
Chrysostomos Mylonas received his Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering from the Engineering Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) in 2013. In 2014 he received a MSc in “Engineering Project Management” from the Civil Engineering department of the Engineering Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). Since January 2016 he is a PhD candidate at the Civil Engineering department of the Engineering Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). Since March 2018 he is a PhD scholar/ research associate at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
Evangelia holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the Department of Psychology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and an MSc in Psychology & Counselling from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). She has been trained in Cognitive-behavioural therapy and has also completed training on Systemic therapy. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience at undergraduate & postgraduate psychology programmes in various private and public educational institutes. She has been also working as a Scientific Associate in research projects and clinical trials at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Evangelia has published a series of articles in scientific journals and has made numerous presentations at International and European conferences. She is member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and currently works towards Chartership for the division of Research and Academics at BPS. At present, Ms. Nakopoulou also has a private practice and continues her research in the areas of health and social psychology.
Georgia Nasiopoulou holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Cognitive Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and in Group Therapy, and she is certified as an Advanced level Schema Therapist and supervisor. Her last training on the Good Enough Parenting program has certified her as a Parenting Facilitator. She has worked for several years as a tutor and an adult educator. Since 2008, she is coordinating parents’ counseling groups for the Institution of Youth and Lifelong Learning. She also works at private practice as a psychologist and a group therapist. She is the Programme Leader of the MSc Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as of the Higher National Diploma in Counselling and Psychology, and the Advanced Professional Certificate in Counselling: Theory and Practice, at Mediterranean College of Thessaloniki. She has published articles in academic and scientific journals and has made presentations at international conferences. Her research interests are in the area of health psychology, psychopathology, psycholinguistics, cognitive-behavioral therapy, group therapy and schema therapy.
Dr. Nathanail Paschalia
Paschalia Nathanail is a Doctor of Philosophy, with specialisation in Pedagogy of the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy of the Philosophical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The research interest of her dissertation focuses on improving the effectiveness of the educational work through the cooperation of all involved actors and especially the educational staff. She holds a degree in Philosophy - Pedagogy specialized in Pedagogy and a Master of Pedagogy specialized in Teacher Education and Training in the above department. In the framework of her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she has completed a series of trainings on subjects related to Pedagogical Science, in particular School Education, Education Organization and Administration, Teacher Education and Training as well as Intercultural Education. She is a certified adult educator and in co-operation with the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning (INEDIBIM) she teaches as a lecturer and educator courses related to Public Vocational Training Institutes (DIEK). Within the framework of a member of the faculty, she has taught undergraduate courses in Pedagogy (Introduction to Pedagogy, Microteaching etc) and has been a scientific member of research programs of the Pedagogical Department of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She taught Greek as second in Sections of aid to the Greek language of foreign and repatriated students of the formal education of the Ministry of Education. She has worked in public schools as a tutor - a lecturer in the context of Additional Teaching Support and in the private sector in secondary education tuition. Her research interests are based on fields related to Pedagogical Science and in particular in her writings include a book and publications in the Pan-hellenic and international conferences. She has attended several educational seminars on Pedagogical Science, Adult Education and Intercultural Education.
Elisavet Nikitaki holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Shipping from the University of Piraeus and a Master’s degree in Shipping from the same University. She has worked in Shipping Companies to the Crew Department and to the Legal Department. She has also worked in boat service units. Elisavet has participated in the Ministry of Transport research "Edit & statistical analysis of the gas analysis laboratory test results" in collaboration with the Department of research of the technical Institute of Piraeus. Her academic specialisation is on "Economics and Management in the maritime sector". Over the last six years, she has teaching experience of over 3200 hours at a post-high school education level. She has also attended many seminars on shipping. She holds diplomas in English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese language. Teaches: Transport Policy.
Nikolaidis Sarantis, MSc, cert.MDT, H.OMT-D
Sarantis was born in Athens in 1981. He graduated from the 4th high-school in Kallithea, he studied in the Physiotherapy Department of Charles University with scholarship and received his bachelor degree title as Physiotherapist in 2003. He continued his studies at a Master’s level at the same University, where he was awarded with scholarship, and he specialised in “Musculoskeletal and Neurological Rehabilitation”. In 2005 he came back to Greece and he was licensed as a physiotherapist after attending two semesters in the A.T.E.I. of Lamia physiotherapy programme. He has attended a number of seminars and courses regarding musculoskeletal rehabilitation (lower limb biomechanics, orthotics construction, myofascial release techniques, upper limb rehabilitation, taping, explain pain). Moreover, he has been certified from the Hellenic Institute of McKenzie therapy (cert.MTD) and the Manual Therapy courses of H.OMT-D. Since 2006 until 2008 he worked in a number of physiotherapy clinics and sport clubs treating patients with musculoskeletal problems and he was a physiotherapy tutor. From 2008 until today, he is the owner of the physical therapy center of musculoskeletal rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise “Physiogen”. Anthoula Dota received her Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and has completed the M.Sc. "Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development". She is a PhD candidate at Civil Engineering Department of Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) and has plenty publications in scientific journals and conference proceedings. She has an eight-year working experience in public (bridges, buildings, steel and composite structures, hydraulic works) and private projects (site surveying works, structural and hydraulic works). Furthermore, she has worked as a member of research teams in european engineering projects. She speaks the English language fluently, she is a member of Technical Chambers of Greece and she is registered in the official list of the Hellenic Ministry for the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works with certification for the following categories of design works: 08 (Structural Design) and 13 (Hydraulic Projects). She teaches Site Surveying in Mediterranean College since February 2016.
Dr. Painesis Grigorios
Grigorios Painesis holds a BSc in Marketing and Communication from Athens University of Economics and Business (2005) and an MSc in Management Science and Operational Research (with Distinction) from University of Warwick (2007). He also holds a PhD in Marketing from Athens University of Economics and Business (Department of Marketing & Communication) with focus on consumer behavior and retail marketing. His research papers have been presented in International Refereed Conferences of established value. He has been awarded with scholarships and awards for consecutive years by the Greek State Scholarship’s Foundation, the Ministry of Education and the Athens University of Economics and Business. Since 2009 he teaches Marketing, Data Analysis and Market Research modules in the Technological Educational Institution of Athens (Faculty of Management and Economics, Department of Marketing) and in colleges. His main academic interests lie in the fields of Consumer Research, Marketing Research, Retail Marketing, Sales Promotions and Quantitative Marketing Decision Models. Dionysia Panagopoulou is an acknowledged professional in the hospitality industry with deep knowledge of Greek Tourism and specialisation in Hotel Business Administration. She graduated from the Technological Educational Institution of Athens with a B.A. in Business Administration. Then, she specialised in the Hotel Business. She started her career at Capsis S.A. and she has since worked as an executive in well-known hotels corporations, such as Divani Caravel S.A, Grecotel and Athenaeum Intercontinental.
Maria Panidou started her studies at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa, where she received a degree in Tourism Management and continued with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Human Resource Management at the University of Macedonia. She has worked in several five star hotels such as Kempinski Hotel Nikopolis Thessaloniki, Porto Sani Village Suites and Asterias Suites of Sani Resort. In recent years she has been working with the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki as a scientific associate. Since October 2016 she is the program Leader of the School of Hospitality , Tourism and Culinary Arts of Mediterranean college of Thessaloniki.
Stelios Panoutsos has a Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering by the National Technical University of Athens and also holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Design and Analysis of Structures by the National Technical University of Athens. He is a professional in the sector of higher education teaching modules in the area of engineering mechanics, strength of materials, statics and dynamics and structural design and in the construction industry in the sector of structural design, structural assessment and retrofit and structural strengthening. He is also an experienced site supervisor engineer having involvement in a variety of projects. Since 2008 he is an accredited lecturer in Mediterranean College, teaching and assessing modules in the fields of engineering mechanics, strength of materials, statics and dynamics of structures.
George Pantelidis is a Mechanical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and with an MSc for the University of London, Imperial College in Advanced Mechanical Engineering. He has been awarded the certification of European Energy Manger (EUREM). He has an over 15 years’ experience in electromechanical installations, in both design and construction. Concurrently he has more than 1.000 hours as a lecturer in energy efficiency subjects and he is the writer of the book “New guide to Energy Audits in Buildings”. He works as a scientific associate for energy efficiency in an Energy Service Company.
Papageorgaki Ino, PhD c.
Ino Papageorgaki is an M.Sc. Rural & Surveying Engineer and a Ph.D candidate at the National Technical University of Athens. She has a Diploma of Rural and Surveying Engineering (Bachelor & Master of Engineering) by N.T.U.A and a Master of Science (M.Sc.), in Water Resources: Science and Technology, by the School of Civil Engineering of N.T.U.A. Her research and working experience at the time is mainly focusing on spatial information analysis by geographic information systems (GIS) in surveying, photogrammetry, mapping, hydrology and natural hazards. She is also participating in research projects in Laboratory of Reclamation Works and Water Resources Management, School of Rural and Surveying Engineering, N.T.U.A. She is supervising the projects (diploma thesis) of undergraduate students in: surveying, hydrology and flood risk, since 2010. She is a professional in the sector of higher education teaching modules in the area of engineering. She is an accredited lecturer in Mediterranean College, teaching Site Surveying and Flood Risk Management.
Dr. Papageorgiou Katerina
Dr Katerina Papageorgiou is a psychologist with academic and clinical experience. She holds a PhD in Health Psychology from the University of Groningen, an MSc in Health Psychology from Leiden University and a first degree in psychology from Panteion University. She holds research publications in reputable (top 15%) international scientific journal articles and has presented her research in international conferences. She has also worked at various clinical settings, such as adolescent hospitality settings and in the rehabilitation of people with mental illness. She has also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT). Currently, she has a private practice, working psychotherapeutically with adolescents and adults, while she is also actively involved in the training of psychologists and psychotherapists.
Dr. Papamalis Foivos E.
Dr. Foivos E. Papamalis is a public health researcher and practitioner. He has extensive clinical and research experience in diverse settings, served as a member of various advisory boards, EU Expert Groups and worked as scientific advisor and consultant at (inter) governmental and non-governmental bodies in country and abroad. As a senior expert in drug abuse prevention and trade in drug precursors at the Policy and Legal Advice Centre, the European Delegation and the Serbian Ministry of Health, he assessed the transposition of EU Regulations in the Serbian legal order. As an adviser to the National Drug Coordinator Office of Greece (2014-17) , he contributed to the development of the Greek National Drug Strategy 2014 -2020 and provided scientific consultations for strategic upgrade on issues related to national drug policy and on demand reduction strategies. He was a research consultant (2016 - 17) at the Council of Europe, Pompidou Group - examined the potential adverse effects and associated cost of drug control policies in the EU. Dr. Papamalis has been trained in several psycho therapeutic approaches with focus on contemporary psychodynamic approach. He has extensive experience in working in inpatient/outpatient clinical settings as a counselor, team leader and organizational manager. He has experience in working in HRM, liaising with NGOs and cooperating with field experts in transnational research projects on mental health, drug and crime prevention, treatment and social reintegration. He worked as a program manager for a specialized training centre and organized several international psycho therapeutic programs and training modules. Dr. Papavasileiou Georgios
Dr. Georgios S. Papavasileiou holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering and an MSc. in “New Materials and Technologies in the Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures” with emphasis on Earthquake Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace. He received his PhD. in Civil Engineering from the University of Cyprus (2014), and conducted research as a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering until June 2015. In September2015 he joined the Department of Civil Engineering and Land Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering of the Athens University of Applied Sciences as a postdoctoral researcher (2015-2017). Since October 2016 he is an Adjunct Faculty (Academic Fellow) at the University of Applied Sciences of Thessaly, where he teaches the courses of "Steel Structures" and "Finite Element Method" at the department of Mechanical Engineering. He has rich publication record, including 23 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, 2 books and 4 theses. His research is in the field of computational engineering, steel and steel-concrete composite structures.
Dr. Papazisi Anna
Dr. Anna Papazisi is a Civil Engineer who graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of the Polytechnic School of Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) and a Geologist from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She holds a MSc in Engineering Geology from the University of London, Imperial College and a Ph.D. in Rock Mechanics from the Geotechnical Engineering Division of the Civil Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of AUTh. She has participated in research projects and she had received a fellowship in the research project PENED. She works as: 1) a Scientific Associate at the Civil Engineering and Geomatics and Surveying Departments of the Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I.) of Serres since 2002, 2) a Civil Engineer in Attica Bank since 2006 and 3) a freelancer engineer and geologist since 2003.
Apostolos Peltekis holds a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Cognitive Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Leiden University. He is a certified therapist in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the Greek Association of Behavioral Research and Therapy in Thessaloniki and a member of the EABCT. He is also a certified adult trainer. Since 2015, he has been working at “Centre of Life”, a non government organization, providing psychological support to people living with HIV/AIDS. Part of his work is to educate the general population, opposing stigmatization, preventing HIV. During the past decade, he is teaching psychology modules at public Vocational Institutes and at Mediterranean College of Thessaloniki, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. In the past, he has worked as a facilitator/coordinator of parent’s groups for the Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation, the University of Thessaly, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Municipality of Kalamaria, NGO ARSIS and other sectors providing psychosocial services. He has published articles in academic and scientific journals and has made presentations at international conferences.
Dr. Perakis Panagiotis
Dr. Panagiotis Perakis is the Coordinator of the School of Computing, and Programme Leader of the BSc and MSc Programmes. He received his BSc degree in Physics, his MSc degree in Information and Communication Technologies and his PhD in Informatics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. After many years in the Information Technology business, as a software engineer, CTO and entrepreneur, he made a shift to his career for the academia. He has been actively involved in various EU funded research projects, and worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), and as a research associate at the Dept. of Computer and Information Science of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research interests include computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and physics-based modelling and simulation. He has a strong publication record in top scientific journals and conference proceedings. He serves as a scientific journal reviewer, and as a research and innovation assessor of the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology (GGET). He is a member of the Hellenic Physical Society, since 1987, and of the IEEE Computer Society, since 2011.
Dr. Pikrammenos Ioannis
Ioannis A. Pikrammenos, Dr. Ing., MBA, has graduated Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology at Patras University, Greece and has acquired his doctorate and his MBA from National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Pouliou Anna, PhD c.
Anna Pouliou received her Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), has completed her M.Sc. "Planning, Organization and Management of Transport Systems" and since January 2015 is PhD candidate at Civil Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She has worked in the fields of transport and traffic studies and road construction studies and has also worked on supervising public works. In 2014, she undertook the technical support for the participation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki in transnational European program RAIL4SEE - Rail Hub Cities for South East Europe. At the same time, she works as a freelance engineer performing studies and engineering projects since 2009. She speaks fluent English and has basic German and Italian knowledge. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers. She is reviewer/evaluator at National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and Energy Inspector since 2013. He was an Integral member of a highly qualified team charged with devising and deploying strategic business plans to launch a new chain of 25 high tech stores, namely Millennium Telecom stores. In 2001, he joined the advertising industry at the Mccann-Erickson World Group Hellas as a Financial Manager directing a broad range of financial operations. In 2004 he joined the Ashley & Holmes World Group Hellas as a Financial & Administrative Director, South-eastern Europe. Before turning in 2015 as an independent consultant and business advisor, he was an independent advisor internal audit for Information Society S.A. for more than two years. Roussakou Elpida, MSc
Elpida Roussakou is a Public Health Inspector of Technological Education, graduator of the department of Public Hygiene, T.E.I of Athens. In 2016 she completed her studies at the Master's program "Health and Safety in the Workplace" which is organized by the Medical Department of the Democritus University of Thrace in collaboration with the Departments of Public Health and Nursing of T.E.I of Athens. Since 2010, she has attended several conferences regarding subjects such as Public Health, Epidemiology and Health Services as well as two seminars regarding Instructors Training and the Food Safety Management System ISO 22000: 2005, during the year of 2015. She has made presentations about the "Health and Safety of the Modern Residence in Times of Crisis", at the 11th National Conference on Management, Economics and Health Policies (2015) and at the 11th National Conference of Public Health and Health Services (2016). On the 4th of July 2017 a part of the results from her thesis about health conditions and the effects of economic crisis on house maintenance, was published in the scientific journal ‘’To Vima tou Asklipiou’’. Since April of 2016 she has been working as a freelancer and she is the lead scientist of the company Hygioacts. She is an owner of both English and Chinese Language certificates.
Varvara (Vana) holds a BA in Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of from the University of Athens and a BA in European Cultural Studies from the Hellenic Open University. She holds a Master of Education and a Master in Ethics (University of Athens) and is a PhD candidate at the same university. She has attended specialised courses in Professional Counselling (K.E.A.E.S.), at the Psychology Department of the University of Athens and has published articles in academic and scientific journals and conferences. Dr. Samaras Ioannis
Dr. Ioannis Samaras was born in 1983 comes and lives in Thessaloniki, has an Accounting Degree, Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southampton in Great Britain and a PhD from the University of Macedonia, department of Applied Informatics. The purpose of the PhD was the International Accounting Standards and Financial Accounting. Regarding his working career/experience, he is co-owner and co-manager of a touristic unit (bungalows) located in the 2nd leg of Halkidiki which has 26 years of operation. Since 2006 he is owner and manager of an Accounting – Taxation office. Since 2008 has been teaching in an undergraduate and postgraduate level at TEI (Technological Educational Institute) of Thessaloniki and Serres as a research associate in the departments of Tourism Administration, Accounting, Marketing and Logistics (Logistics), and also has a remarkable research activity by writing articles for international scientific conferences and for international scientific journals.
Margarita holds a BA in Visual Theories (University of East London) and an MA in Arts and Heritage Management (London Metropolitan University). In 2014, she graduated from the MA programme of the Department of Early Childhood Education of University of Athens, specializing in Education and Human Rights. In 2004, she began her working experience by designing and implementing educational programs for children of all ages. Since then, she has been working as a teacher of creative and artistic expression in museums and art workshops, while she has worked as a Supervisor of Programs in an Art Workshop and also as a Lecturer in private colleges. Her research interest focuses on alternative approaches of artistic learning that strengthens and activates all the inherent abilities of children such as critical thinking and watchfulness. A procedure which constitutes a powerful learning tool while through the acting learning, children changing from passive listeners into critics of artistic creation. The major aim of her educational programs is the reinforcement of child self-expression, the artistic search and the understanding of the art’s social role in order to teach children to interpret and analyze images of the wider environment and to perceive the world in a multidimensional aspect.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Lincoln, an MSc in Occupational/Organisational Psychology from the University of Surrey and has been certified with Level A & B in Occupational Testing and Personality Measurement. She also holds a "Train the Trainer" Certificate relating to Workforce Development and Training and a diploma in Middle Management from the Hellenic Management Association (EEDE). She is a member of the British Psychological Society and Division of Occupational Psychology and accredited by the Greek General Directorate of Vocational Education and Training, as an instructor for The Special Fund for Employment and Vocational Training Unit programs. She has been involved in assessment centers as assessor and worked as an HR consultant focusing on selection and recruitment, employee counseling, employee satisfaction and workplace stress. Siasos Alexandros, PhD c.
Alexandros Siasos has Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering and also is Doctorate Student at the Mechanical Engineering School of National Technical University of Athens. As a PhD candidate he researches new innovative ways to reduce the cost of design, development and manufacture of textile reinforced composite products, and increase the repeatability and reliability of the manufacturing procedure. Furthermore, he is a freelancer Mechanical Engineer who works in the field of design, engineering and manufacturing of tools and final products.
Siouras Athanasios, PT, MSc
Siouras Athanasios is a graduate Physiotherapist from the School of Health and Welfare, of Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki in 2012. He completed his MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London in 2014. He has worked in private clinics in Volos, Thessaloniki and London with main focus on musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He was the 1st Team Physiotherapist of Niki Volou FC for the 15-16’ season. He has attended numerous seminars in Greece and abroad and has trained in the application of Western acupuncture. He is finishing his second MSc in “ Renewable Energy Sources & Energy Management in Buildings “from A.T.E.I. West Macedonia. He has worked as QA/QC Mechanical Engineer in construction companies such as METKA S.A. , EKME S.A. on construction of power plants and refineries and pressure vessels and equipment’s.in Greece and in other countries From 2012 he is working as Senior Inspector and engineer to HELPE S.A. on the inspection department.
Spanidi Katerina, MSc, OMT
Katerina Spanidi is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist and clinical pilates instructor, currently owning a private physiotherapy clinic in Athens. Katerina graduated from the Technological Educational Institute (A.T.E.I.) of Patras, department of Physiotherapy in 2009 and following 2 years of professional experience in a variety of physiotherapy fields, she applied for the MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy in the University of Birmingham (UK) from which she graduated in 2013. She has worked in several public and private physiotherapy clinics both in Greece and the UK and her areas of expertise are mainly musculoskeletal pathologies, athletic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. She is a full member of the HCPC, CSP, MACP, AACP and the Pan-Hellenic Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Gerasimos Spiliotis is a graduate of European and International Relations of Panteion University and holds a Master’s degree in European Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management from Warwick Business School. He first started his career as a Human Resources Advisor in Crème dela Crème Human Resources and later he joined Delta Singular as a Human Resources Account Manager. Evi Spiliotopoulou received her Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She has completed her Inter-Departmental Postgraduate Course M.Sc. in "Energy Generation and Management" with focus on Renewable Energy Sources and Rational Use of Energy in Industries and Buildings. She has worked as Operations Development Engineer in the field of ore processing plants at S&B Industrial Minerals. At the same time she works as a mechanical engineer at the sector of Food Industry since 2010. She has performed studies and design of Food Industries projects and supply and installation of electromechanical equipment. She speaks fluent English and has basic French and Chinese language knowledge. She is member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since April 2009.
Stavroula Spyropoulou was employed in Hiraclis company since 2005 to 2009, where she has been the coordinator of projects, tools and performance of the Supply Chain. Her main responsibilities included project management in the Logistics Department, mathematical programming tools managing to optimise the total cost of the supply chain, as well as the establishment and monitoring of the key performance indicators (KPI'S) of the department. Previously, she worked at the Deutsche Bank in Germany, and as a consultant at PWC in Switzerland and Greece. He holds an MA in Information Systems and Programming from the Greek Open University. He graduated from the Physics department at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and since 1994 he has a rich teaching experience at various levels of education. His recent research interests are focused on the application of web mining techniques in news portal data. He deals with the writing of educational material in e-learning programs in the field of Web Development and Web Design. He also provides educational support for learners who participate in these programs. During the last year, he publishes articles and he participates in conferences dealing with education and its connection with the labour market.
Dr. Stylianou Tasos
Tasos Stylianou received his Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) from the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia (UoM) in Greece. He also holds an MSc from the Department of Applied informatics - “Business informatics” – and an MS in “Economic Science” - Applied Economics and Finance - from the Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia. His bachelor degree is in “Applied informatics” from Macedonia University of Thessaloniki. He has many scientific papers published in international journals and he has presented his work at a number of international academic conferences and proceedings. In addition he is a reviewer in international journals and his current and past teaching activity comprises the delivery of a wide range of computer science modules.
Gerasimos Simeonidis is a BSc Business Administration holder from ATEI ATHENS and an MSc Sports Management and the Business of Football from Birkbeck, University of London receiving merit with specialization in football corporate governance. Additionally, he has completed successfully numerous on-line professional and academic certificates. He is member of Hellenic Scientific Association of Sport & Recreation Management (HSASMR), responsible for sponsorship agreements. Creating ad-hoc attractive sponsorship packages for various sports organizations packages as well as conducting detailed research on Sports Sponsorships ROI is his main professionally activity. Dr. Theodore Tarnanidis
Dr. Theodore Tarnanidis finished his postdoctoral research at the University of Macedonia, in November 2015, in the area of sustainable entrepreneurship. He obtained a PhD from the University of London Met. UK, in 2011, with a thesis on multi-attribute decision-analysis in consumer goods markets: analyzing the effects of reference points. He was awarded postgraduate fellowship from the National State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). He received his M.B.A in Marketing from Liverpool University and is a graduate from the University of Macedonia (Business Administration) and Alexander Technological Educational Institute (Marketing). For several years he worked in the public sector where he specialized in financial economics. Formerly a visiting researcher at London Met. University. His work has been published in various internationally renowned scientific conferences and journals mostly from the fields of Business Administration. He is actively involved in several teaching and research activities.
George Thomas holds a BSc in Psychology (BSc) and a Masters in Psychology (MSc) from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and Essex University (UK) respectively. He worked for several years as a psychologist at the Psychiatric Hospital of Attica (PS.H.A.) and 414 SNEN Psychiatric Hospital. He is a trainer in educational seminars cooperating with private and public bodies working in the field of mental health (KYPEKO, KETHI, COSMOANELIXIS). He also works privately as a psychotherapist.
Thanos Touloupis is a special education teacher in Primary Education with Postgraduate and Doctoral studies in the field of Developmental and School Psychology, in School of Psychology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). He has taught in a variety of educational settings in (General and Special) Primary Education. Also, he has worked at the Differentiation, Diagnosis and Support Center of Western Thessaloniki, making the educational assessment of students with special educational needs. During the academic year 2018-2019 he is an adjunct faculty member at School of Psychology (AUTh), working at a laboratory, teaching and research level. At the same time, he collaborates as an educational staff in the Inter-University Distance Learning Postgraduate Program “Special Education” of the University of Nicosia in collaboration with the University of Patras. His research interests concern fields of Applied Psychology in Education, such as Educational, School and Developmental Psychology. Particularly, he focuses on issues of psycho-educational assessment and support of students with special educational needs, as well as, on prevention and/or treatment of bullying, cyberbullying, and online risk behaviors among students generally. Furthermore, he is interested in the role of teachers and parents against these phenomena, studying at the same time occupational factors (e.g., job satisfaction/burnout) that affect teachers’ job over the psycho-educational support of students with or without special educational needs. He is a lecturer at international conferences and publishes articles in international and Greek scientific Journals from the field of Psychology and Education. Finally, he has been selected by Higher School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (H.S.PE.T.E.) as a regular member of the five-member Committee on Ethics of Research with a three-year service (2018-2021).
Dr. Triantafyllaki Angeliki
Angeliki is the MA in Education Programme Leader at Mediterranean College Athens. She holds a PhD and MPhil in Education and Educational Psychology from the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Education. In 2001 she graduated from the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she specialised in Educational Theory and Practice. She has completed a wide range of seminars and workshops on child psychology, family health and special education, participating in placements in a range of special education Institutions in Greece. She currently teaches courses in Research Methodology, Psychology and Didactics at the Open University, the University of Nicosia and the University of Athens. She has taken part in international and European research projects and has been awarded by IKY and the British Academy for postdoctoral research on professional teacher development, music education, creativity in learning and teaching and new technologies, and learning and teaching in tertiary education. Her work has been published in a recent monograph (Routledge, UK), in collective volumes and in international scientific journals.
Dr. Troussas Christos
Dr. Christos Troussas is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus. He received a Ph.D. degree in Informatics (2017), a M.Sc. degree in “Advanced Informatics and Computing Systems” (2010) and a B.Sc. degree in Informatics (2008) from the same Department. He is a freelancer software developer until 2010. He has participated in national and international research projects. He has served as Editorial Board member και Reviewer in many international journals and as Technical Program Committee member in many international conferences. Moreover, he has published over 60 articles in international conferences, books and journals. His current research interests are in the areas of software engineering, human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, affective computing and adaptive hypermedia systems.
Foteini Tsantila holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Social-Clinical Psychology, Addictions and Psychosocial problems from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is specialized in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and in Group Therapy, and she has been educated as a Gestalt therapist. Her last training on Psychopathology of infants, children and adolescents program has certified her as a school and evolutionary therapist. She has worked for several years as a group therapist in Therapeutic Programs for Addiction. Since 2010, she is coordinating counselling groups for Self Help Programs. She also works at private practice as a psychologist and a group therapist. and in School ussi. Hlydate inShe has published articles in academic and scientific journals and she participated in the greek scientific group for the weighting process of the Fourth World version of Intelligence Scale for Adults (WAIS –IV). Her research interests are in the area of psychopathology, neuropsychology, alternative psychοtherapy, cognitive- behavioral therapy, group therapy and integrative therapy.
Dimitris Tsikerdis has graduated from the Informatics Department of the University of Piraeus and holds a postgraduate degree in Advanced Information Systems with Specialization in Decision Support Systems from the same university. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Techno – Economic Systems (MBA) from the National Technical University of Athens. He has worked in the private sector as Business Analyst/Programmer in Document/Content Management Systems (DMS/CMS) and Business Process Management Systems (BPM). At the same time he was an active certified trainer in Vocational Education with specialization in Databases and Programming Languages. Presently he works as an Information Systems Administrator in an Institution supervised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity.

Varouti Eirini, PhD c.
Eirini Varouti received her Diploma degree in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering (Materials Science and Technology stream) in 2010 and her MSc degree on Materials Science and Technology in 2012, both from the National Technical University of Athens. In 2012 she joined INN (Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) as a PhD student (group of ‘Superconductivity and Magnetic oxides’). Among her research interests are: Synthesis of complex oxides, ferrimagnetic materials and multiferroic materials; Correlation of electromagnetic properties with structure and chemical composition ; Physics of interaction of electromagnetic field with ferroic materials and various composite media; Experimental techniques for RF and microwave materials characterization.
Dr. Vasilopoulou Maroula
Dr. Maroula Vasilopoulou was born in 1984 in Athens. In 2011 she completed her Master degree at Biology of Exercise in Department of Physical Education and Sports Science with specialisation in Ergophysiology, while in 2016 she completed her PhD studies at the same department with excellent grade. Her professional career began in 2006 as Clinical Exercise Physiologist in pulmonary rehabilitation programmes for patients with chronic diseases. She has participated in several clinical research studies in patients with chronic diseases and athletes. She also has publications in international journals in the field of Ergophysiology, pulmonary rehabilitation, tele-rehabilitation and chronic care as well as numerous presentations in international conferences, where she has been awarded. Teaches: “Physiotherapy Management I&II: Cardiorespiratory theme”.
Mr. Vasilis Vogkas has completed his BSc in Information Systems in the Computer Science of University of Calabria in Italy at 1997 and continued for his second undergraduate title BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in University of Glamorgan in the U.K at 2000. He continued with scholarship his MSc in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems in Trinity College of Dublin in Ireland in which he completed in 2001. After that he continued with one more Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in the University of Glamorgan which he completed in 2002. He has worked in INTEL Corporation as a Network Engineer and other IT companies in the area. Currently he is working as a Technical Manager in JinxSoft Company which specializes in programming applications and games for Smartphones. He has participated in various Research projects, funded by the European Union, at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). His research interests include programming of computer applications and mobile devices as well Relational Database Administration.
Dr. Volioti Christina
Dr. Christina Volioti has a BSc in Computer Science (2011 - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), a MSc in Computer Science with specialization in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education (2013 - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a PhD in Applied Informatics (2016 - University of Macedonia) entitled “Machine learning in sonification of expressive gesture with the use of stochastic models”. From 12/2016 to 07/2017, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Multimedia, Security and Networking Laboratory of the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia. Additionally she is a tutor of the module “Human Computer Interaction” at the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia. Her research interests, among other, focus on machine learning, motion recognition, human-computer interaction, educational robotics, 3D virtual worlds, etc. She has published more than 15 articles in international journals and conferences. She serves as a reviewer and co-organizer at international conferences (eg International Conference on Movement Computing). She is/was also involved in European research projects (eg EXA2PRO, SDK4ED, i-Treasures, etc.). Finally, since 10/2017, she is Programme Leader of School of Computing at Mediterranean College, Thessaloniki.
Manos Yannoulakis has studied hospitality and tourism at the Higher Hotel Institute in Cyprus and the University of Luton. Since 2001 he has worked in different hotels in Greece in different departments and managerial positions (Grand Resort Lagonisi, King George Palace, Porto Rio Hotel and Casino, Civitel Hotels and Resorts et al.) He is a member of the American Hotel and Motel Association and the Dratte. Teaches: Food and Beverage management.
Andreas Zachariadis is holding a PhD on Experimental Social Psychology (2012), an M.A. on Cultural Management (2014) and Bachelor degrees in Sociology (2005) and in Psychology (2009) from Panteion University. He has taught courses of Methodology and Statistical analysis in the Departments of Psychology (2018) and Communication and Media Studies (2013, 2016) at the Panteion University, Sociology and Communication at the School of Non - Commissioned Officers (2017, 2017), Psychology and Communication in the Department of Radiology - Radiotherapy (TEI of Athens) (2017) and Psychology at the Training Center of the Fire Brigade Academy (2017) and at the Academy of Officers of the Hellenic Police Force (2017-2018). He participated as a researcher at the Center for Oriental Studies for Culture and Communication (2013), Interdisciplinary Center for the Mental Health of the Armed Forces (2015-2017), Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens SNEN 414 '(2014-2016),' International Center for the Study of Violence Extremism '(2016-2017) and the European Program M.Y.P.LA.C.E. (FP7) (2012).
Menelaos Zafiridis is a graduate of the department of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Aeronautics and Engines. He holds an MSc degree in Powertrain Engineering from the École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs, France. His scientific interests and activities are mainly focused on exhaust after- treatment technologies of internal combustion engines.
Lemonia holds a BSc Degree in Psychology and an MSc Degree in Counselling. During her postgraduate studies, she has been professionally trained in different psychotherapy techniques and interventions as well as in the use of psychometric tools, from the University of Thessaly and the University of Athens. In the past she has worked and completed her clinical practice in psychiatric hospitals and mental structures for children and adults in the UK (NHS) and Greece. She has worked as a psychologist for the Municipality of Pallini, providing counselling services and support to socially vulnerable groups. As a researcher, she has worked with the Athens University Research Institute & Mental Health, the University of Thessaly and the Aristotle University, mainly providing psychological support and psycho-education to parents, children and teachers.
Natalia holds a degree in Educational Science and Early Childhood Education from the University of Patras and an MA in Curriculum Pedagogy and Assessment from the Institute of Education, University of London. She has attended specialized seminars and conferences in current educational methodologies (Reggio Emilia Approach, High Scope Approach, Project Approach) in Greece as well as abroad and is a member of NAEYC (National Association of Early Years Children) in the USA. Natalia has also attended a 450-hour seminar entitled “Special Needs Education: Learning Difficulties –Dyslexia” at the University of Athens. She was employed as a kindergarten teacher and in Charge of Curriculum in private kindergartens for many years. During the past few years, she is instructing future teachers on pedagogy. Furthermore, she is member of the team who founded and runs a series of seminars intended for parents of pre-school children. It focuses on positive discipline and is entitled ‘Happy Parents = Happy Kids’. Recently, she published two books with prewriting activities for kindergarten children entitled ‘Pencil in hand’, available from Patakis Publishers. She has also designed and curated pedagogical material for Chios Mastiha (The box of mastiha).
