Dr Efrosyni Alevizou

Dr. Efrosini Alevizou is a psychologist – psychotherapist with a Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology from the Department of Psychology at the University of Waterloo, Canada, and a PhD also in Developmental Psychology from the Department of Psychology at the University of Athens. She has also completed the two-year postgraduate clinical training program in Cognitive Psychotherapy at the University Research Institute of Mental Health (E.P.I.P.S.Y.) of the University of Athens. Furthermore, she has completed a five-year training course in systemic psychotherapy at the Athens Centre for the Study of Humans, a two-year training course in psychotherapy through visual arts at the Centre for Art and Psychotherapy, as well as an annual clinical- theoretical seminar at the Department of Adolescent and Youth Psychiatry of the General Hospital “G. Gennimatas”. Since 2005 she has been active in the field of adult and adolescent psychotherapy and in family and couple counselling. She also works as a school psychologist in Primary Education.
