Alexandros Siasos, MEng, PhD c.

Alexandros Siasos is a Researcher and PhD Candidate in the Manufacturing Technology Division of the School of Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. He graduated from NTUA with outstanding academic performance, ranking within the top 4% of his graduating class and completing the demanding engineering programme in 4.5 years. His doctoral research focuses on the development of innovative methods for reducing the design, development, and manufacturing costs of multilayer textile-resin composite structures, while improving the repeatability and reliability of their production processes. He possesses a strong background in research and development methodologies for new products, with specialization in advanced manufacturing technologies, CAx philosophies (x=Computer-Aided Design, Engineering and Manufacturing), and software programming for engineering design and production applications. Since 2013, he has organized specialized professional training seminars, including the “CNC Machine Programming Seminar” and the “Mechanical Design and GD&T according to ISO Standards Seminar,” contributing to the technical training and professional development of engineers and manufacturing professionals. Alongside his research and professional activity, he teaches in the MEng Mechanical Engineering and Design programme at Mediterranean College in collaboration with the University of Derby, delivering modules in Engineering Design, CAD, Manufacturing Processes, Design Modelling, and Design for Manufacture.
