Dr. Areti Leopoulou

Art historian and curator, currently Deputy Artistic Director at MOMUS-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography. She holds a PhD in Art History (State Scholarships Foundation) and has held interdisciplinary curatorial posts in major contemporary art institutions. She has taught at the International Hellenic University (Department of Creative Design & Clothing). Her practice often engages experimental and cross-disciplinary artistic fields (including new media, textiles and costumes, social interaction) and explores the productive intersections of visual and applied arts. Her research interests focus on conceptual art, feminism, everyday life, and interdisciplinary/experimental practices. Her publications include the monograph Beneficial Parasites (Futura, 2017), alongside numerous contributions for exhibition, collective and conference editions.
