Dr. Koutroumpi Matina

Dr. Matina Koutroumpi is an accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the world’s leading organization in clinical exercise physiology, with extensive clinical experience in the organization, supervision, and design of exercise programs for patients with chronic diseases. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Health and Sport Sciences from the University of Bristol, UK, and a PhD in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. Her doctoral research was conducted under the supervision of Professor Pavlos Toutouzas and focused on the effects of exercise on left ventricular hypertrophy, in collaboration with Professor Peter Kokkinos from the Cardiology Department in Washington, D.C., USA.
