Dr Panagiota Pimenidou

She is the Module Leader of ‘Hydrogen Technologies’ in the MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering programme at Mediterranean College (Athens Campus). In addition, she actively engages in research on sustainable energy solutions. Previously, she held academic positions including Assistant Professor at the University of Bradford, UK (2007-2021) and Lecturer at Ulster University, UK (2010- 2016), where she developed and led programs in Chemical Engineering and Hydrogen Safety. Her experience also includes securing research funding, managing international collaborations, and supervising students. Her research focuses on developing sustainable energy solutions through various approaches. This includes investigating hydrogen production and carbon capture technologies, solar-driven water-splitting materials for hydrogen generation with improved efficiency, and utilising nanocatalysis for cleaner biofuel combustion, continuous biodiesel production, and wastewater treatment with photocatalytic membranes.
