Dr Kosmas Pinitas

Dr. Kosmas Pinitas is a researcher and lecturer specialising in Artificial Intelligence, Affective Computing, and AI-driven player modelling. He holds a PhD in AI & Games from the University of Malta, focusing on representation learning for emotion modelling and human-centred AI applications. His research interests include affect modelling, multimodal learning, AI & Games, and engagement prediction. He has participated in major European and international research projects, including AI4Media and LawGame, and has collaborated with Ubisoft Massive Entertainment on AI-driven player engagement modelling. Dr. Pinitas has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in leading venues such as IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, ICMI, ECCV, and GECCO. In addition to his research activity, he has teaching experience at postgraduate level in Game AI and Advanced Game AI courses and serves as a reviewer for international AI and affective computing journals and conferences
