Dr. Andreoula Valentini

Dr Andreoula is an experienced educator with extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has taught a wide range of modules, including Research Methodology, Academic Writing, Public Speaking, and Testing and Assessment in Applied Linguistics programmes. She also has long-standing experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), designing and delivering student-centred lessons aligned with European language proficiency frameworks, with a focus on developing linguistic competence and communicative ability. Her teaching places strong emphasis on active student engagement, the development of academic writing, literacy assessment, and research skills. In addition, she is actively involved in academic writing instruction and broader academic support, contributing to students’ professional development. Her pedagogical approach is grounded in her doctoral research in Applied Linguistics, with particular emphasis on writing comprehension, student writing anxiety, and its impact on academic performance.
