The Education Awards is an institution that was first introduced by Mediterranean College in 2012, established to promote and award excellent students and provide them with further study and employment opportunities.
The Education Awards is an annual competition that is open to students from any private or state higher education institution. There are ten award categories, linked to the ten areas of studies represented at Mediterranean College. Students or recent graduates from each academic category are called to submit their personal profile and be assessed on five core criteria: academic performance, originality of academic work, social contribution, well-rounded personality and social networking. The awards committee examines and assesses all entries and the ten best students from each category become the finalists. The final stage of the competition includes an on-line, public vote among the one hundred finalists, which designates the winner of each category.
Ten leading companies, each in every award category, sponsor every year the Education Awards and award the winners with a job interview in their organisation. The ten winners are also granted with a scholarship for postgraduate studies at Mediterranean College and their achievement is also reported in their HEAR.
The Education Awards Ceremony is a celebrated event that is hosted in a major venue in Athens and is attended by students, parents and staff and by prominent representatives of the business world, the State, sports and culture.
