He studied Physics at the University of Athens and got a Master’s degree in Astrophysics with distinction from Queen Mary, University of London. During his postgraduate studies his research focused on the discovery or Earth-like exoplanets. He has been working in education for several years as an associate lecturer of the University of Derby teaching undergraduate science classes and has been awarded the “Academic Staff Recognition and Excellence Award” from Mediterranean College. He is the creator of popular astronomy channel “Astronio” and has designed a series of lessons of astronomy for children. To share his passion for astrophysics and science with a wide audience of non-specialists, he has participated in the TEDx events of the Technical Universities of Crete and Athens and has given speeches at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Athens Science Festival, The Planetarium of the Eugenides Foundation and Mediterranean College.
