Ravnali Katerina

Katerina Ravnali is a pedagogue, school teacher and drama educator. She holds a bachelor in Primary Education and a bachelor and integrated master in Theatre and Drama Education from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Moreover, she holds a master in Lifelong Learning from University of Macedonia. Currently, she is gaining an advanced professional diploma in Special Education from Aegean University. She has published the above dissertations: ‘Emotional Intelligence in the workplace: Design, implementation and evaluation of an educational program through drama based training methods’ and ‘Personal and social competences development through theatre/drama in education: An educational intervention in a refugee camp’. She has worked for several years as an educator in a refugee camp (NGO Arsis) gaining valuable experience in intercultural education for adults and children. As a teacher and drama educator she has worked in public elementary schools (as a class teacher and in special education), in public and private KDAP (Center for recreational activities for children), in National Theatre of Northern Greece, in the organization and implementation of theatre and recreational activities for children, in summer family resorts and summer children’s camps. Her research interests include education and development of adults and of human resources, development of emotional intelligence and social competencies, theatre/ drama in education, social theatre, ensemble theatre and intercultural education.
